AR4138 Program Planner – West Midlands

Contract for Program Planner to work on Highways projects in the West Midlands, South Birmingham based. You will have overall responsibility for the development, monitoring and reporting of all relevant programmes. Primavera experience is required.

Duties will include tracking progress, incorporating changes and forecasting delivery dates and expenditure. You will also assist in the preparation of periodic reports, statistics and answers to enquiries concerning the programmes.

This is a contract role. We anticipate the rate for this contract being between £30-£35/hr.

4137 Highways Engineer / Technician – Devon

Our client require a Contract Highways Technician / Engineer in their Plymouth office to work on highway design schemes including geometric junction design / crossings / including alterations to roundabouts and signals geometric junction layouts alongside car parking layout and bus interchange facilities. The scheme will most likely involve a full planning application and this will be an integral driver and form the basis of this early outline design work. The ability to work as part of a team; self-motivated and the use AutoCAD is an essential element of this role.

The hourly rate is £25.00/hr on a ltd company basis.

AR4135 Senior Development Planning Engineer – Hampshire

Exciting opportunity to join a leading multi disciplinary company based in Hampshire. You will be involved in the day to day technical input into a range of projects including project management for commercial, retail and residential through to Local Development Framework Representations and providing Expert Witness evidence.

It is anticipated the successful Senior Engineer / Transport Planner will have a Degree / MSc in a transport related discipline and be working towards or already achieved Chartered status.

You will be able to produce Transport Statements, Transport Assessments and Travel Plans, be able to carry out junction design and have experience in LINSIG, PICADY, ARCADY and TRANSYT.You will also have experience of access strategy work, parking strategies, sustainable transport, S106 agreements, S278 agreements and guidance such as PPG13, DfT Transport Assessment guidelines, DCLG parking guidance and Manual for Streets.

  • Research and prepare reports on sector and client analyses

AR4131 Hydraulic Modeller – Birmingham

Our client is a leading hydraulic modelling provider to the water industry in the UK and they are currently seeking a Hydraulic Modeller to join their modelling team in Birmingham.

Key responsibilities will include building and maintaining hydraulic models, producing MapInfo plans, contributing to the production of Drainage Area Plans and Sewerage Management Plans.

The successful Hydraulic Modeller will have experience in waster water modelling / building hydraulic models, experience with GIS databases (MapInfo) and Wallingford software (InfoWorks and InfoNet), knowledge of hydraulics and engineering principles a high level of numeracy and a relevant Degree or equivalent. Knowledge of WAPUG code of practice is also desirable.

AR4129 2 x Assistant Civil Engineers, West Midlands

Our client seek 2 Assistant Civil Engineers to work in a successful team based in the Birmingham area, adjacent to the M42 and M6, where you will work under the direction of a Senior Engineer. You will assist with engineering designs and liase on technical approvals, be familiar with Section 38, 104 and 278 agreements and have good competency in AutoCAD. Skills in Windes and PDS would also be preferred but not essential.

You will need good interpersonal skills to be able to communicate effectively with internal and external customers.

Salary range £25k-£30k + company car. Other benefits after qualifying period.

AR 4124 CAD Technician, Hampshire – Fixed term 12 month contract

Due to a recent major bid win, my client are looking for a CAD Technician to join their Aviation team in Hampshire. You will assist with drawing and general design duties. The role is initially being offered on a fixed term 12 month basis, but this may be renewable or transferred into a permanent position in the future.

The successful candidate will have experience in AutoCAD working in an aviation or highways environment. This will be in addition to a minimum of 5 good GCSE passes or equivalent. Training will be provided. Aptitude and a positive attitude will be important to the job, with the ability to work in a friendly, but industrious office.

The role will report to the Project Manager. Working hours are 9-5:30 Monday to Thursday and 9-4:15 on Friday with 3/4hour lunch.
